THEORETICAL - POLITICAL
PLATFORM
of the
Union of people’s Fedaian of Iran
1. The “Union
of People's Fedaian of Iran” is a communist organization, which calls for the
abolition of the capitalist system and the establishment of socialism in Iran.
2. The capitalist system is in principle responsible for the plight of people
of the world. The main specifications of capitalism is based on exploitation of
man by man and the relations of commodity production.
Capitalism helps to keep social inequalities ,male dominance ,wars, and non-stop
profit making which in turn destroys the ecological system and sources of life
.Capitalism which removed the chains of the precapitalist systems and once
supported the equality of all human beings, has brought about only limited civil
liberties whereas, for the majority of the society, equality is subdued by the
predominant economic inequalities.
Socialism paves the way to freedom, social, economic and political equalities
for human being.
3. The objective factors of socialism are present within capitalism itself .
Capitalism socializes production and expands it to the whole of the society, and
on the other hand allocates the social product to a minority. The contradiction
between social production and private ownership of means of production is the
essential contradiction within capitalism. Socialism puts an end to this
private ownership and socializes production and distribution of the product.
4.The background and conditions for the establishment of socialism are provided by the historical development of capitalism. But in contrast to other systems, the establishment of socialism needs the consciousness, organization, preparedness and will of the working – class and other social movements. International solidarity of the working class provides for such a fundament social transformation.
5 .Socialism is neither a general idea nor an order given by the historical fatalism. It is the plan for social transformation to be chosen freely by the society. In Iran today, the first necessary step in transition to socialism is to overthrow the Islamic regime and establish a democratic society based on the free will and conscious choice of the people. The success of such a transition depends on the extent of the involvement of workers in social movements and on their influence and ability to carry it out at the society level. In the current situation in Iran, the left movement, as the existing force of the socialist horizon, has the duty to organize the people's struggles to free the society and to accomplish the democratic transformations and to organize the transition to socialism. To perform such a duty, the left movement must first of all unify its forces and gather all its energy and scattered resources, so that it can play a decisive role in the current political struggles in Iran.
The Union of People's Fedaian of Iran as a part of the left movement gives the first priority to the unification task.
6. The Islamic Republic is the main obstacle in the way to democratic transformation in Iran. This regime, following other despotic traditions and dictatorial regimes in the contemporary history of our country, is against any progressive movement or transformation in our society. Considering violation of political, social, and human rights, abolishing the right to choose, oppressing and terrorizing the society, and legalizing all sorts of interferences in people's private life, this regime has, indeed, surpassed all of its predecessors.
The Union of People's Fedaian of Iran gives the first priority, at the present conditions, to the following points in its plan for the democratic transformation of Iranian society:
1.The overthrow of the Islamic Republic and establishment of a democratic republic.
2.Abolishing all the agencies and organizations which are a threat and an impediment to a lasting democracy in the country.
3.Convening a constitutional assembly which is based on revolution and free election by the people, in order to elaborate the constitutional law of the new government.
4.Self-governing system at every level by means of institutions elected by people. The representatives of people should have the right to ratify and execute laws.
5.Establishment of nonconditional political freedem, universal suffrage and equall rights for all the people.
6.Abolishing all sorts of torture and execution.
7.Seperation of religion and state, and rejection of all attempts to ideologise society 's affairs.
8.Equality of all citizens before the law, regardless of their sex, ethnicity, political or religions beliefs.
9.Standing against any kind of discrimination against women and securing their equal rights in all aspects including establishment of their independent organizations.
10 .Securing the freedom of association and organization, strike, and the right to work and enjoy social security for all.
11 .Recognizing the right to self-determination for all ethnic groups as far as recognition of their right to secede and establish their own sovereign government.
12 .Struggle
against the imperialist domination and for the regulation of the international
relations on the basis of human rights, self-determination right, and the
struggle for saving the environment .
Our Tasks
In the current situation, our main tasks are: to strengthen our political relationship with the workers ,intellectuals and mass movements in Iran, as well as preserving our connections with the supporters of our Organization in Iran. These goals can be achieved through:
l. Organizing active political - and propaganda actions in order to affect the Iranian workers and democratic movements in Iran. For propaganda actions using mass media, especially radios which can be heard in Iran, should be taken into consideration. Our politic and propaganda activities would include the presentation of tangible slogans against the regime, disclosing regimes' acts, and supporting the unification of the left, progressive forces.
2. Promoting the ,Etehad-e-Kar" publication through allocating more forces and resources to it.
3. Organizing disclosing activities and protests against the regime together with other forces. These activities can take the form of common actions among different organizations or formation of democratic associations.
The elected Central Committee should, on the basis of the above
points, clarify other political and organizational tasks in different areas,
so that all the Organization's activities would be in line with the main
objective and the three specified duties.
